The Porsche Boxster is a very successful reminiscence of the formal vocabulary of sports car construction of the 50s and 60s. Also, the Boxster is strikingly similar to a KARMANN study of a mid-engine roadster from the 80s.

The initially launched versions with 2,5 l and 204 HP are rather a bit weak and fulfill only very partially at least my requirements for how “to-drive-a-Porsche” should feel like:
"... when I step on the gas, everything else becomes smaller in the rearview mirror".
Or direct quote from Ferry Porsche: "A Porsche must shoot!".

The Boxster is also not just a lightweight.
But it was consequently developed.

I personally like the Boxster so well that I would buy it.
But with 1.95 m size I do not fit into it. Very sad.

Attention! DIFFERENT convertible top versions

There are different convertible top variants for the Boxster 987 2005-2008 / until 2012 originally from Porsche.
These are distinguished by differently positioned and designed “Spriegelbänder” etc. - and differences in the linkage!

It must first be decided here which variant is the right one for the Boxster 987.
For this purpose, the chassis number/vehicle identification number of the Boxster is mandatory when ordering.
